A few weeks ago whilst working away on a clients site I turned to my usual Ipsum generator and let out a sigh, Ipsum although time tested is a little boring and always prompts clients to ask “Why is my site in a foreign language” which then forces me to talk about the history of Lorem Ipsum.

So this in mind I went on a quest to find a cool Ipsum generator which generated text that was legible and recognizable to the reader, I found a few cool generators but again they just spewed random words.

I decided to create my own that I could use and maybe a few friends would get a laugh from and use in their projects, the first few days were slow but all of a sudden the traffic went crazy and the Samuel L. Ipsum came to life.

People seemed to be really into the site but many commented it might be unusable to present to clients, so I added Slipsum Lite which is the same old Slipsum (minus bad words) and Classic Ipsum which is old style Lorem Ipsum.

Thank you to all those that have shared, enjoyed, used and got a giggle from the site, I’m going to leave the comments open and hopefully get some feedback and please feel free to suggest any improvements.
