Littleton Chambers

With a large team of experienced Barristers, the website is a key part of the business to showcase the Barrister’s experience and offer resources for customers and solicitors to instruct.

Client Overview

Littleton Chambers is a well-established set of barristers based in London, working across employment law, commercial litigation and a range of related civil matters. With a large and experienced team, the website plays an important role in how the chambers presents its people, its expertise and its thinking to solicitors and professional clients.

The Mission

The existing site had become difficult to manage as content grew. Barrister profiles, practice areas, news and commentary all existed, but the structure behind the scenes didn’t make updates particularly easy, and the experience for visitors wasn’t always as clear as it could be.

The aim was to improve usability, modernise the site and put a stronger content system in place. Nothing dramatic. Just a website that better reflects how the chambers operates day to day and gives staff more control over content.

Design

Littleton had a strong and known identity, using that I focused on clarity, spacing and consistency, keeping layouts calm and readable. Navigation was simplified so users can move between practice areas, barrister profiles and news without having to think too hard about where things live. The intention was for the design to feel professional and contemporary, but not distracting.

Development

The site was built as a custom WordPress solution, structured around Littleton’s real content needs rather than forcing everything into generic page templates. Barristers, practice areas, news and insights are all managed separately, but linked together properly so content can be reused and kept consistent across the site. A lot of care went into the admin experience, as this is a site that gets updated regularly by non-technical users.

Outcome

The new site is easier to navigate and significantly easier to manage. Staff can update profiles, publish news and maintain practice area content without friction and visitors can find relevant information more quickly. It’s something people actively use to find the right barrister, understand specialisms and keep up with what the chambers is doing.
