SLK Digital is a UK-based SEO specialist and copywriter led by Sarah-Louise Kelly. The business offers technical SEO and creative writing. With strong copy for both SEO and creative areas the services offered are diverse.

The original site didn’t clearly show how the different services fitted together. SEO audits, copywriting, training and ongoing SEO support were all there, but the structure made it harder than it should have been to understand what to start with. The aim was to make the services clearer, present the business more confidently, and create a site that could grow over time without needing constant restructuring.

The design needed to feel professional but still personal. This is a freelance-led business, not a faceless agency. I kept layouts simple and readable but used bold colour to add Sarah’s personality. The site needed to be easy to scan, especially for visitors comparing SEO providers while still reflecting the personality behind the work.

The site was built on WordPress with a straightforward content structure. Services, testimonials and blog content all needed to be easy to update without worrying about breaking layouts. Advanced custom fields where used to add further functionality and allow Sarah to implement her SEO knowledge. Performance and speed was also key for an SEO so everything from images to the database was optimised.

The finished site explains SLK Digital’s services more clearly and presents the business with more confidence. Visitors can understand what’s on offer and see evidence of experience whilst being able to navigate with ease. The performance optimisation ensures pages load almost instantly.
